Monday, November 6, 1:30 p.m.–4:30 p.m.
West Meeting Room 107, Vancouver Convention Center, Vancouver, British Columbia
For the 2017 CO-Act event, we will be assembling 1000 hygiene kits for distribution to First United (https://firstunited.ca/housing-and-shelter/), a low barrier shelter providing support for some of the most vulnerable people in the Vancouver area. If you’re interested in helping the people of Vancouver (and enjoy fun times in a productive environment with colleagues and friends), register for the CO-Act event when you complete your conference registration form. There is no fee to participate (i.e. it’s FREE)! To help us organize appropriately however, it is important we are aware of the number of volunteers so please sign up.
If you sign up and have to cancel, simply notify us at firstname.lastname@example.org If you are unable to participate, but would like to support the activity with a tax-deductible donation, please visit http://acvp.site-ym.com/?page=Give_to_ACVP.
Tax-deductible donations are welcome from those participating in the event as well.
Your efforts will benefit the following charity in Vancouver:
First United -- https://firstunited.ca/housing-and-shelter/
First United operates a year-round shelter, providing 60 beds each night, with space for 40 men and 20 women in separate areas. Residents have 24 hour access to the building and enjoy three meals a day, seven days a week. As a low barrier shelter, they welcome people who, for a variety of reasons, are unable to access support from other providers. That means they are helping the most vulnerable people in the city, neighbors with nowhere else to turn.
Many Thanks to Our 2017 Sponsors!
