Comments:
2018 Biopsy case load was 2500 cases, approximately 95% of which were small animal/companion animal cases. 2018 Necropsy case load was approximately 1100 cases with 40% small animal, 40% large anima/food animal and 20% other (laboratory animal, poultry, wildlife/zoo). Additionally, there is an aquaculture diagnostic lab and we work closely with the Institute for Marine Mammal Studies which adds fish, dolphins, and sea turtles that are not represented in necropsy and biopsy case load.

Other Opportunities:
Multiple funded research opportunities are available for students interested in pursuing a graduate degree. Time is available during the second and third years to rotate through research labs that students are interested in. Time is also available to take graduate course work for those students interested in a graduate degree.
