Young Investigator Awards
Poster Competition

Submission Deadline: June 2, 2003

The ACVP has established a Young Investigator Awards Poster Competition in three categories:
Experimental Disease
Natural Disease
Toxicologic Pathology

Each of these categories will have monetary awards as follows:
1st place - $500
2nd place - $300
3rd place - $200

An ACVP program for the recognition of quality poster presentations by veterinary pathology residents and Ph.D. candidates has been established. The posters will be judged by College diplomates representing several specialty groups during the Annual Meeting in Banff, Alberta, November 16-19, 2003. Consideration will be limited to veterinarians enrolled in an anatomic pathology or clinical pathology training program. Recent graduates who have completed training after June 30, 2002 are also eligible to compete. Competitors should be the first author of the presentation, should have performed the major portion of the work, may submit only one poster for consideration, and their presence at the display is required. Abstracts must be submitted by June 2, 2003 to the ACVP website (available in April).

Awards will be announced at the Business Meeting at the 2003 Annual Meeting. Entries, as well as competition category, should be indicated on the abstract form (available on the ACVP website in April). For further details, plese contact:
