ACVP Reading List: 2012 Clinical Pathology Certification Examination

From 2001 through 2011 the following textbooks and journals provided references for approximately 80% of the questions of the indicated sections of the Certifying examinations. These lists are arranged in alphabetical order. Particularly with the textbooks, it is important to recognize that one of several texts on a given subject may suffice; it is not necessarily advisable to read multiple textbooks on the same subject. It is advisable to use the most current editions of textbooks. For journal articles, most were published within the last 5 years. These lists are not all-inclusive lists, and the exam will not necessarily be limited to these references. Journal articles in print or electronically released before 1 March 2012 are considered in preparation of the exam.
