2006 CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
The deadline date for submission of abstracts was June 1, 2006. If you have
submitted a paper for consideration for the 2006 Annual Meeting, you will
be notified of the acceptance status at the end of July. If you have any
additional questions, please send an email to meetings@acvp.org.

CAREER FAIR
UPDATED: The ACVP Career Fair at the Annual
Meeting is merging with the Career
Center on the ACVP website! Starting this
year, all jobs posted on the Cereer Center since July 1 will be featured
in the onsite Career Center located at the ACVP Annual Meeting from December
2-6, 2006. The fee for postings continues to be $100. Postings remain on
the Career Center for six months or until filled.
CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
The American College of Veterinary Pathologists has been approved
to conduct educational programs by the American Association of
Veterinary State Boards’ RACE. The American Society for Veterinary
Clinical Pathology has been approved to conduct educational programs
and award PACE continuing education credits through the American Society
of Clinical Laboratory Science. Sign-up for your choice of educational
credits on the registration form.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS
Hotel Update
Shuttle transportation between the Country Inn and Suites by Carlson, the
Westward Look Resort, the Holiday Inn Express and the Hilton El Conquistador
will be offered between December 2-6.
Ground transportation between the Tucson Airport and all four hotels can
be booked through the Hilton El Conquistador Resort. Please refer to the
Ground Transportation form [PDF-34KB]. Advance reservations are required.
Submit your ground transportation form to Barbara Williams no later than
November 17, 2006. The cost is $40 round trip.
Consider renting a car while in Tucson....

International Veterinary Information Service (IVIS) -
The IVIS library includes veterinary textbooks and proceedings of major
national and international veterinary organizations. Access to the IVIS
Website (www.ivis.org)
is free, however, it is reserved to members of the veterinary community
(practicing veterinarians, veterinary students and technicians and scientists
active in animal health). First time visitors are required to complete
a short registration form.
