Exciting opportunities in Anatomic Pathology Training.  The Department of Veterinary Pathobiology, Center for Veterinary Health Sciences, Oklahoma State University in beautiful Stillwater, OK has 1 open residency position.  We are seeking a highly motivated, balanced, and dependable individual who has a DVM or equivalent degree, a great sense of humor, and a keen interest in pursuing a career in anatomic pathology.  This is a 3-year position with a potential for entering a graduate program leading to the PhD degree beginning or following the third year.  Strong college research programs include: infectious diseases, tick-borne diseases, toxicology, pharmacology, lung biology, and The National Center for Veterinary Parasitology.  Our program boasts 10 anatomic pathologists with a wide range of expertise who recognize the importance of an enriched learning environment and understand that the ultimate goal is board certification by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists.  In addition to the extensive and varied diagnostic case material presented to the Oklahoma Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (OADDL) each week, there is abundant archived material available for ACVP board preparation as well as creative scholarly activities.  Each year, residents have opportunities to participate in and attend department-sponsored, local, and national meetings that are designed to enrich their learning experience.  Starting date is July 1, 2010.  Salary is $27,228 per year plus a benefits package that includes health insurance. The application should include a cover letter stating short and long term career goals, a recently updated curriculum vitae, official transcripts from professional studies that include a standardized GPA, and the names, addresses, telephone numbers, and contact information of at least 3 references.  Although not a requirement, GRE scores are highly desirable.  Graduates of foreign or non-accredited veterinary schools must submit a recent TOFEL score.  Review of applications will begin November 1, 2009.  Send application materials and inquiries to Dr. Bradley L.
