Contact: Dr. Virginia Godfrey Email: vgodfrey@med.unc.edu Research Associate in Mouse Pathology The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is offering a research fellowship in the pathology of genetically altered mouse models. The trainee will assist in the phenotypic characterization of genetically altered mice submitted to the Mutant Mouse Regional Resource Center (MMRRC) at UNC and will participate in health surveillance and disease control programs. There are also ample opportunities for collaborative research in the areas of neurobiology, cancer research, gene therapy models, and cardiovascular disease. This is a one-year renewable fellowship with options for pursuit of a graduate degree. The candidate must possess the D.V.M. (or equivalent degree) and have completed a residency in veterinary pathology at an accredited college of veterinary medicine. A.C.V.P. board eligibility and prior experience with the pathology of laboratory animals is desirable but not required. Starting salary range is $35,000 - $40,000. Starting date is negotiable (July-September 2003).
