Based in the Seattle, WA area, ICOS has established exceptional research and development capabilities encompassing small molecule, monoclonal antibody and protein therapeutics, and is now poised to become a strong and successful commercial organization.

Responsibilities
As a Veterinary Pathologist in our Preclinical Department you will be responsible for designing and performing histopathologic evaluations of efficacy and toxicity studies, as well as for providing peer review and consultation for outsourced studies. Working in collaboration with ICOS scientific staff you will help further drug development projects in all stages from early discovery to clinical development. Additionally, you will oversee the Histology and Image Analysis Facilities and coordinate the use of these resources by Research and Development groups.

Requirements
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • DVM and Ph.D.
  • ACVP board certification or eligibility.
  • Working knowledge of veterinary pathology and mechanisms of disease.
  • Understanding of immunocytochemistry, in situ hybridization, image analysis and commonly used molecular biology techniques.
  • Experience in design and implementation of toxicity studies.
  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry is preferred.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams within the organization.
