Graduate Fellowships in Anatomic Pathology/Environmental Pathology The Department of Veterinary Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology, University of California at Davis, is seeking applicants interested in entering a PhD program in Anatomic Pathology with emphasis in Environmental Pathology. The Environmental Pathology program is part of a university-wide, multidisciplinary center of excellence which addresses contemporary problems involving environmental toxins and their effects in humans and animals. This NIH postdoctoral research training award provides up to 3 years of research training in anatomic and experimental pathology relating to toxicology with emphasis on pulmonary, reproductive, neurologic, hepatic or oncologic disease. Starting date is July 1. Candidates will be selected based on academic performance and motivation toward an academic/research career. The program consists of academic course work appropriate to the field and to the student’s interests followed by research leading to a PhD degree. Applicants should have a DVM or MD or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution: 1- to 2-years of residency training in anatomic pathology is highly desirable. Additional training in anatomic pathology appropriate for eligibility for the American College of Veterinary Pathologists is obtained through participation in the anatomic pathology service of the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and academically qualified for admission to Graduate Studies at the University of California. Salary is $36,108 to $44,364 (depending on experience).
