Veterinary Pathologist Originally founded as Bio-Research Laboratories in 1965, and now a member of the Inveresk Group, CTBR provides the highest qualiy pre-clinical studies to pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical companies worldwide. With over 1,000 employees and state-of-the-art facilities, CTBR's scientific excellence and innovation is renowned within the drug development industry. Continued expansion within their laboratory based services, plus the demands of their extensive North American, Japanese and European client base, has led to an outstanding opportunity for an accomplished Veterinary Pathologist wishing to expand their work experince, and to make a challenging career move to an exceptionally appealing Canadian location. Job responsibilities include interpretation of studies to evaluate the toxicity of potential new pharmaceutical, agrochemical and biotechnology products. Opportunities exist to work in several areas of specialised interest (bone pathology, neurotoxicology, immunotoxicology, electron microscopy and biomaterial research programmes). CTBR employs new computerised data-capture systems and equipment routinely used in pathology, including a transmission leectron microscope and image analysers. Candidates should ideally possess a DVM with an MSc, DVSc or PhD in Pathology, or an MRC Pathology qualification. Board certification or eligibility for the ACVP would be an asset.
