Pathologist-Scientist, Safety Assessment
Responsibilities:
The Safety Assessment Department is seeking a Pathologist- Scientist
with experience in drug development and investigative research. As
part of Development Sciences, Safety Assessment Pathologists provide
scientific leadership and play an active role in the process of drug
development from late stage research through marketed products. This
role involves working in a collaborative team environment as part
of the comprehensive safety assessment of Genentech therapeutics
by participating on project teams and by providing expertise in areas
of immunohistochemistry, advanced microscopy and image analysis technologies
in support of the design, implementation and data analysis of both
non-GLP and GLP investigative toxicology studies.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a DVM, PhD, board certification
in Veterinary Pathology and 4-6 years’ experience in toxicologic
and investigative pathology. Demonstrated theoretical/practical knowledge
and technical abilities in molecular biology, immunohistochemistry,
advanced microscopy and image analysis method development and application
are required.
