veterinary diagnostics, we employ over 80 veterinary pathologists and
internal medicine specialists. IDEXX offers its customers comprehensive,
innovative testing and exceptional customer service. Laboratory services
include haematology, biochemistry, cytology, histopathology, microbiology,
serology, immunology, endocrinology, and molecular biology.
We are currently seeking a full-time Anatomical Pathologist to be
located in our laboratory in Wetherby, West Yorkshire.
Duties would broadly include
- Providing clients with diagnostic evaluation and consultation in
the area of anatomic pathology, including both microscopic and gross
evaluation of surgical biopsy specimens.
- Consulting with clients regarding interpretation of pathology reports
and other laboratory data, and responding to client inquiries.
- Partnering with the Head of Anatomic Pathology and the Laboratory
Operations Manager to ensure quality of results in the laboratory
and working in conjunction with other anatomic and clinical pathologists
to allow optimum turn around time of client submissions.
The pathologist is expected to meet caseload and turnaround expectations
and to be accessible for client consultations during regular working
hours. A high level of importance is placed on quality, service, timeliness,
and client satisfaction. The pathologist is also expected to promote
the growth of IDEXX Laboratories by actively participating in pathologist
meetings and professional contact with clients.
Suitable applicants will have postgraduate experience in anatomic
pathology, DVM (or equivalent) plus board certification (or eligibility)
with either the American or European Collages of Veterinary Pathology.
