Major Duties:
Help establishing and supervise
molecular pathology laboratory activities in Molecular histopathology group in
EH, NJ, such as;
- Immunohistochemistry/fluorescence (IHC/IF), in-situ hybridisation
(ISH)
- Telepathology/virtual microscopy/quantitative methods in collaboration
with other histopathology laboratories within NIBR
Participate in
the laboratory activity planning, strategy on technology development
and implementation.
- Provide localization support and pathology advice
to safety genomics staff
- Act as investigative toxicology representative
on specific drug programs
- Provide scientific and pathology expertise for iTox scientists
as appropriate
- Provide high quality data design, implementation and
presentation
- Participate into project teams
- Write molecular histopathology reports
- Contribute to publication
in scientific journals as appropriate
Education: DVM or MD, board-certified
pathologist, MSc
Experience: Scientific experience and/or training as a molecular
pathologist
Technical Ability: Technical and scientific expertise in ISH, IHC,
immunofluorescence and knowledge in various aspects of molecular
biology. Scientific experience in the development of novel protein
and nucleic acid detection methods applied to tissue sections
Presentation: Good oral and written communication skills. Able to
present data to peers and senior colleagues
