Veterinary Clinical Pathologist: The Department of
Veterinary Pathobiology (VTPB), Texas A&M University, invites applicants
for a faculty position in veterinary clinical pathology at the assistant,
associate, or full professor level. Requirements: DVM or equivalent,
Texas licensure eligibility, and ACVP board certification or eligibility. Preferred: PhD
or MS degree or research, or scholarly experience. Successful candidate
joins a dynamic team including three clinical pathology faculty and three
clinical pathology residents. Duties include providing diagnostic
service, teaching, and maintaining productive independent or collaborative
research program. Division of duties is negotiable at a level consistent
with the candidate's strengths and interests; preference given to an
individual interested in a position leading to tenure and has a research-oriented
program. Appointees to a tenure-track position should establish
and maintain an extramurally funded research program complementing existing
research in the department or college. Appointees to a clinical-track
position should interact with clinical specialists and participate in
collaborative scholarly activity. Teaching opportunities exist
at the undergraduate, professional veterinary and graduate levels. VTPB
is one of five departments in the College of Veterinary Medicine and
Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS). Scholarly breadth across faculty members
is excellent, with areas of emphasis in anatomic & clinical pathology,
genetics, infectious disease & host/pathogen interactions, immunology,
and neurosciences. Signature programs within the CVMBS: cardiovascular
sciences, neurosciences, biodefense & emerging infectious diseases,
reproductive biology, environmental medicine/toxicology, and biomedical
genomics. The department includes 70 faculty members with diverse backgrounds
and research interests. Salary and start-up funds will be competitive
and commensurate with the candidates’ experience and qualifications. Applications
