VETERINARY PATHOLOGIST JOB OFFER
The European Business and Innovation
Centre of Navarra (CEIN), which is located in Pamplona (Spain), has a
specific program for supporting Innovative Companies with Technological
Base (EIBT Program) through the identification, promotion and development
of innovating companies in relation with strategic sectors such as biotechnology,
computer science, nanotechnology or tele-communications.
A project in
EIBT Program is seeking a Veterinary Pathologist with demonstrable experience
in the pathology of laboratory animals.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
DVM degree with board certification in pathology
(ECVP/ACVP), preferably with PhD and a minimun of three years of experience
in investigation pathology. Previous experience in toxicologic pathology
in a Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) environment is highly desirable.
The candidate should also have solid technical knowledge and experience
with specialized techniques used in discovery such as immunohistochemistry,
immunofluorescence or tissue microarrays. Experience or interest in
the field of digital pathology (tele-pathology, e-learning, image analysis,
remote consulting) is preferred.
Clear and concise written and oral
skills are essential (Spanish and English). Experience and proven ability
to work with scientists and professionals in a wide variety of disciplines
are desirable.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will serve as study pathologist
on safety assessment studies (protocol review, client consultation, per
review).
Also performs animal necropsies and provides gross and histopathological
evaluations as well as prepare pathology reports in a GLP evironment.
In
addition, performs quality assessment of pathology specimens and develop
and refine SOPs in relation with histopathology techniques.
