SENIOR TOXICOLOGICAL PATHOLOGIST (location flexible)

USA is a scientific contract research organization providing preclinical
research services to biotech and pharmaceutical clients throughout the
world. We are currently seeking a Senior Toxicological Pathologist to support
our GLP facility located in Everett, WA. This position will
have the ability to work remotely from home, relocation will also be considered. We
are a GLP facility offering study programs ranging from regulatory toxicology
to customized study designs and disease models. Our specialized programs
and services include reproductive toxicology, safety pharmacology, immunotoxicology,
and carcinogenicity.

The Senior Toxicological Pathologist will evaluate, interpret and report
anatomic pathology data derived from preclinical safety studies under the
requirements of GLP. This position will work closely with Study Directors,
Scientists within SNBL USA and our valued clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement Good Laboratory Practices
- Oversee and perform histopathology, gross pathology (necropsy), and
electron microscopy examinations; produce and review reports
- Coordinate the department’s efforts and resources to optimize
performance
- Attend department and company meetings
- Prepare, review, and revise Standard Operating Procedures and protocols
- Engage in research to develop techniques for diagnosing and identifying
pathological conditions
- Train senior and junior level staff in gross pathology and histology
- Devise and direct use of special stains and methods
- Communications with clients and vendors
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
- ACVP Board Certification
- 10+ years of directly related experience
- A MS/PhD in Pathology or related discipline and GLP experience is preferred
- Strong technical writing and verbal skills are required
