Anatomic Pathologist
We are seeking an innovative pathologist with investigative and drug
development experience. The selected candidate will participate in
or lead cross-functional teams assessing the safety of novel compounds
by undertaking investigative and early non-GLP toxicology studies in
support of Discovery Research. This will include collaborative development
of the experimental study plan, providing gross and microscopic examinations
of tissues, evaluation of clinical pathology parameters, and reporting
of results. Investigative studies may require the application of special
methods of assessment such as immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry,
laser capture micro-dissection, and/or image analysis. Presentation
of pathology data locally as well as in global meetings is expected.
Qualified candidates will have a DVM (or equivalent), PhD, board certification
in Veterinary Pathology, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in
toxicologic/investigational pathology. Expertise or interest in renal
pathophysiology and/or clinical pathology is desirable, as is technical
knowledge and practical experience in specialized pathology techniques
such as immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, laser capture micro-dissection
and/or image analysis.
