Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Veterinary Pathology

The School of Veterinary Science is offering a position as Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Veterinary Pathology. The School of Veterinary Science is recognised for its research and teaching programs.  The School’s particular research strengths lie in pathology, infectious diseases, animal behaviour and welfare, medicine, surgery, farm animal medicine, parasitology, production, and pharmacology.

The role.  With your expertise in veterinary pathology you will be expected to contribute to the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs, undertake research and to participate in the academic management of the School.  You will have a commitment and enthusiasm for student education, along with the experience to attract, supervise and mentor postgraduate research students.

The person.  You will have a BVSc/DVM, PhD or equivalent qualifications with published evidence of research capacity in one or more areas of veterinary pathology.  Previous experience in initiating research projects, attracting grants and in strategic collaborations with external agencies would be an advantage.  You will have an established record of research in this area, as well as previous teaching experience at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.  Specialist qualifications are desirable.

Remuneration.  This is a continuing, full-time appointment at the Academic C or D Level depending upon qualifications and experience.  The remuneration package will be in the range of Level C $86,936 to $100,243, or Level D $104,678 to $115,324 per annum plus employer superannuation contributions of 17%.
