Position start date: July 1st, 2009.  The review of applicants will begin immediately and continue until a suitable candidate is identified.

The Laboratory of Pathology and Toxicology in the Department of Pathobiology at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine, invites applications for the faculty position of Assistant Professor of Anatomic Pathology on the Clinician Educator track.  The successful candidate will have a primary responsibility in small companion animal diagnostic pathology entailing a major commitment to the surgical pathology and necropsy services, as well as instructing pathology residents and senior veterinary students.

Applicants should have a DVM/VMD and be board certified/eligible by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists with experience in companion animal surgical pathology and an interest in collaborative projects with the faculty in the School of Veterinary Medicine and/or School of Medicine.  The successful candidate should have an interest and expertise in ophthalmic and neuropathology.
