The Comparative Ophthalmic Research Laboratory (CORL) is a consulting
consortium of vision scientists mostly at the University of Wisconsin
and we have organized to make available our interest in collaborative
research with industry when the eye is a target organ. We are
advertising a job opportunity as an ocular pathologist with CORL. The
successful candidate must have ACVP board certification and an interest
in ocular pathology and vision science. For individuals with
limited experience there will be a period of apprenticeship training
and mentorship in reading ongoing studies. The appointment will
be a non-faculty appointment within the Department of Pathobiological
Sciences at the School of Veterinary Medicine with UW benefits. The
individual will work with an impressive team of vision scientists from
the Veterinary School and the Medical School. The salary is competitive
with industry standards and it could include incentives for numbers
of studies read. A part time schedule is a definite possibility. There
could be opportunities to pursue academic interests such as model development,
endpoint alternatives like morphometry, IHC, or electron microscopy. Interested
individuals should send a letter, a resume, and the names of three
referees to Richard Dubielzig, School of Veterinary Medicine, 2015
Linden Drive, Madison WI 53706.
