Tasks:

• Acting independently as study pathologist for preclinical safety and toxicity studies including labor organization, conduction and oversight of necropsies
• Generation of pathology reports and support for study protocols for preclinical studies of different therapeutic areas
• Support of submissions to authorities
• Conduct of scientific literature search
  
• Providing safety/pathology assessment input into multi-disciplinary project teams
  
• Drive the implementation of new methods

Requirements:

• University degree in Veterinary Medicine
  
• Certification in Veterinary Pathology (European/American College of Veterinary Pathology [ECVP/ACVP] of advantage
• Specialist in Veterinary Pathology and/or Toxicopathology of advantage
• Practical experience in performing necropsies in different laboratory animal species (at least mouse, rat, rabbit)
• At least 1 year experience in histopathological evaluations of tissues of laboratory species
• At least 1 year experience as study pathologist for preclinical toxicity and safety studies (GLP) of advantage
• Knowledge of PathData system of advantage
• Highly developed organization and prioritization skills
• Experience in clinical pathology
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines
• Knowledge of GLP regulations
• Excellent data interpretation skills
• Very good knowledge of written and spoken English
• Flexible team player with well-developed communication skills

Remuneration corresponds to the respective classification according to the collective agreement for the chemical industry. The minimum salary for this position is € 2.892,36 gross per month based on full-time employment. Possible increased payment is dependent on professional experience and/or qualifications.
